Privacy Policy

SurveyGenie (“we”, “us”) operates the survey platform available at surveygenie.ai. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, and a hashed password (if you sign up with email). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile image.
• Survey content — the surveys you create and the responses submitted to them by your respondents.
• Usage data — pages visited, referrers, device type, and approximate location (country), collected via Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics to help us understand how the service is used.
• Advertising data — on our public marketing pages only, we run the LinkedIn Insight Tag, which lets LinkedIn recognise members who have visited us so we can measure our advertising and show relevant ads on LinkedIn. This tag does not run on survey-taking pages. If you are answering someone's survey, no advertising network is told anything about you.
• If you are answering a survey — our own analytics record that a survey page was viewed, along with the approximate location (country) and device type that any website sees. We use this to understand where surveys are being taken and to keep the service working. The person who created the survey never sees any of it. That is not a policy we apply by choice — a stored response holds no IP address, no device information, and no location, so there is nothing about you for them to look at, whatever settings they choose.

How we use it

• To provide and maintain the service.
• To send you transactional emails (account welcome, password reset). We do not send marketing emails without your consent.
• To improve the product and prevent abuse.

Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share limited information with service providers strictly to operate SurveyGenie:

• Vercel (hosting + analytics)
• Neon (database hosting)
• Resend (transactional email delivery)
• Google (OAuth sign-in, if you use it; Google Analytics)
• LinkedIn (advertising measurement on our marketing pages)
• Stripe (payment processing, if you subscribe)

Your rights

You can access, export, or delete your account and data at any time by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your surveys, responses, and personal information from our database within 30 days.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies strictly necessary for the service to function (sign-in session), plus Google Analytics cookies that measure how the site and our surveys are used without identifying individuals. LinkedIn advertising cookies are set only on our public marketing pages, never while you are answering a survey. You can block any of these in your browser, or with any standard tracking blocker, without affecting your ability to use SurveyGenie or to complete a survey.
